Import the DWG/DXF title block

Moving from 2D to solidworks?

You are thinking of creating the title blocks all again in solidworks from the scratch?

All your problems are solved by the method of importing the title blocks from your DWG/DXF drawings directly to solidworks by the 2d import wizard.

The following example illustrates the different steps involved in importing a DWG/DXF title block into SolidWorks.

DXF/DWG Import Wizard Overview

The DXF/DWG import wizard imports DXF or DWG files into SolidWorks by guiding you through required steps. You have the option of importing to either a drawing or a part. If you import to a drawing, the layer, color, and line style information in the DXF or DWG file is also imported. You can set the drawing document options using this dialog box, which appears only if you import to a new drawing document. SolidWorks attempts to make the best settings based on the imported file data, but you can adjust the options as necessary. IMPORTANT: Select the Show preview check box to see a preview of the drawing on the drawing sheet.

Steps to import title block to SOLIDWORKS drawing using the DWG/ DXF import wizard

Step 1
Open a AutoCAD/Dwg file Which has a custom Made title block open it in Solidworks

Step 2
In this stage Solidworks uses the 2d import wizard to import the DWG file. Select create new solidworks drawing And convert to solidworks entities And click next
